Ingredients:
- Brinjal – 2 (big)
- Tamarind – lemon size ball
- Salt – to taste
- Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
- Hing – 1 pinch
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Mustard – 1/4 tsp
- Toor dal -1 tsp
- Curry leaves 4 to 5
- Dry red chilli – 2
- Green chilli – 1
Recipe:
- Wash brinjal , wipe water with a cloth then apply oil on it. Heat this directly over the flame till all the sides are roasted well.
- Then allow it to cool, now remove skin and check inside the brinjal (for good ones). Then smash the Brinjal.
- Heat Tamarind water, add salt & Turmeric to it, wait till bubbles come out of it.
- Now add Brinjal to the gravy and bring this to boil once again.
- Heat oil in other pan. Add Mustard seeds, Toor dal, Red chili, Green chili, Curry leaves and add this to the gravy.
