Coriander Pulav

Coriander Pulav, Cilantro Pulao, Kothamalli Saadham

Ingredients:

  • Basmati rice – 2 cup
  • Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)
  • Curd – 1/4 cup
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  • Coconut milk – 2½ cups
  • Oil – 1 tbsp

To Grind:

  • Cardamom – 1
  • Cinnamon – 1 stick
  • Cloves – 1
  • Green chilli – 2
  • Coriander leaves- 1 bunch
  • Garlic – 3 cloves
  • Ginger – small peice

Recipe:

  1. Soak Rice in Coconut milk for 5 min.
  2. Clean Coriander leaves and grind with the other ‘To Grind’ ingredients.
  3. Heat Cooker and add Ghee, Oil. Then add Onion and Salt. Fry it well.
  4. Then add ground ingredients, Curd and Rice. Mix well and Cook in a cooker.
  5. Finally add lime juice and  remove from heat.

Goes well with: Raita
