How to make chicken biryani in pressure cooker. This biriyani is very flavourful and very easy to make also.
Ingredients for Chicken Biryani
Biriyani paste:
- Garlic – 1 1/2 pods
- Ginger – equal to garlic
- Cinnamon – 1 inch
- Cardamoms – 5
- Cloves – 5
- Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Pepper – ½ tsp
- Stone flower – 2 pieces
For Marination:
- Chicken – 1/2 kg
- Curd (sour) – 2 Tbsp or else use 3 Tbsp
- Above Biriyani paster – half
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 Tsp
For Biriyani Ingredients:
- Ghee and Oil (mix) – 2 Tbsp
- Bay Leaf – 1
- Cinnamon – 1 inch
- Cloves – 5
- Cardamon – 4
- Shahi jeera – 1/2 tsp
- Mace – 1
- Jeera Rice – 1 1/2 cups
- Onion – 1
- Ginger and Garlic Paste – Half ( Above Ground paste )
- Curd – 1/4 cup
- Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Mint – 1/4 cup
- Water – 3 cup
- Salt – as needed
Recipe for Chicken Biriyani
- Make paste of above “Biriyani paste” ingredients. Use half for marination and half for the biriyani preparation.
- Marinate Chicken with curd, Biriyani paste, salt, turmeric & chilli powder Set aside for 1/2 hour.
- Heat Ghee and Oil in cooker. Fry Cinnamon, Cloves, Cardamon, Bay leaf, Shahi jeera and Mace.
- Add Onion fry till it turns light brown.
- Add Chicken, Mint, Chilli and Salt. Cover and cook for 5 min. Then put curd cook till chicken become soft on low flame.
- Put rice, mint and water. Close the cooker allow 1 whistle. Now biriyani ready to serve.
