Drumstick leaves and Onion Bajji

Murungai Keerai Vazhaipoo Vengaya bajji, Drumstick leaves plantain flower onion baji


  • Besan flour(Kadalai mavu) – 200 grams
  • Onion – 1 big (Chopped)
  • Drumstick leaves – a fistful (plucked and washed)
  • Plantain flower  (finely chopped)  – a fistful (optional)
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Chili powder – 1/2 tspn
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil


  1. Mix all the ingredients(except oil) with enough water. 
  2. The consistency of the batter should be of Idly batter consistency.
  3. Heat Oil in a pan. Pour a spoonful of batter to the hot oil. Deep fry both sides till they are golden brown.
