Onion chutney-1 (vengaya chutney)


Ingredients: (For 2 people)

  • Small Onion – 15 – 20
  • Onion – 1
  • Red chilies – 2
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Oil and salt – As required


  1. Heat Oil in a pan. Add Onions, Red chilies and Curry leaves,  fry till Onion turns into golden brown.
  2. Grind all the fried items and Salt in blender without adding Water. If you add Water, then it is difficult to remove the raw small of onion.
  3. Then fry the ground mix in Oil till the raw smell of Onion goes off.

Goes well with: Idly or Dosa.
