Ingredients:
- Rice- 1/2 cup
- Toor dal- 1/4 cup
- Onion- 1
- Tomato- 1
- Green chili- 2
- Garlic- 2
- Curry leaves- few
- Coriander leaves- 2 string
- Cinnamon- 1 inch stick
- Cloves- 2
- Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
- Water- 2 cups
- Oil and Salt- as required
Recipe:
- Heat Oil in a pressure cooker. Add Cinnamon, Cloves and Cumin seeds, fry for few seconds.
- Add Green chili and fry for few seconds. Then add Onion, Garlic and Curry leaves, fry till Onion turns into brown in color.
- Add Tomato and fry till it becomes soft.
- Finally add Rice, Dal, Turmeric powder, Salt and Water. Keep the stove in medium flame and allow 5 to 6 whistles (dal takes more time to cook).
