Pazham Pori (Ripe Plantain Fritters)

Pazham Pori, Ripe Plantain fritters, Banana Bajji


  • Ripe plantain-1
  • All purpose flour (maida)-10 spoons
  • Sugar- 3 spoons
  • Salt- a pinch
  • Turmeric powder- 1 or 2 pinch
  • Oil for frying


  1. Cut the Ripe plantain into 3 or 4 slices in lengthwise.
  2. Prepare the batter with All purpose flour, Sugar, Salt, Turmeric powder and required water. The batter should be of thick consistency like idly batter.
  3. Heat Oil in a pan. Dip the sliced plantain in batter and drop it into the oil. Deep fry till golden brown.
