Mint chutney


Pudina chutney, Mint chutney, Puthina chutney


  • Mint leaves- 1 bunch
  • Small onion-4
  • Curry leaves- few
  • Garlic- 2
  • Red chili- 2
  • Grated coconut-2 spoon
  • Tamarind- a small piece
  • Black gram split-1/2 spoon
  • Oil and Salt- as required


  1. Clean the Mint leaves and keep aside.
  2. Heat Oil in a pan, add Black gram split and fry till it turns into light brown.
  3. Then add Onion, Curry leaves, Garlic, Red chili, Coconut and Mint leaves, fry for 5 minutes in low flame.
  4. Once it cools off, grind with Tamarind and Salt.

Goes well with: Idly or Dosa.
