Ragi Puttu

Ragi puttu, Keppai pittu, Raagi jaggery sweet


  • Ragi flour – 1 cup
  • Palm sugar or Jaggery – 1/4 to 1/2 cup (powdered) 
  • Ghee – 1 tspn
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – 1/4 cup (approximately)


  1. Mix Ragi flour and Salt in a bowl.  Add water little by little and mix well till you get crumbled texture. 
  2. Steam cook the wet Ragi flour mix in a idy cooker for 7 to 10 minutes.
  3. Then add the powdered Jaggery and Ghee to the cooked ragi flour and mix well.
