Ingredients:
- Tomato – 3 big (diced)
- Tamarind – lemon size
- Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Urad dal – 1/2 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds – 1/4 tsp
- Garlic – 6 cloves
- Green chilli – 2 (finely chopped)
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Salt – to taste
Roast and Grind:
- Pepper corns – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal – 1/2 tsp
- Coriander seedsĀ – 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds – 1/4 tsp
Recipe:
- Soak Tamarind in 1 cup of water and filter it.
- Heat a pan. Add Peppercorns, Cumin seeds, Urad dal, Coriander seeds, Fenugreek seeds and fry till it becomes golden brown. Then dry grind them into fine powder.
- Heat Oil in a pan. Add Mustard seeds, Cumin seeds, Fenugreek seeds, Urad dal, Garlic, chopped Chilli, Tomatoes, Salt one by one add and combine well.
- Then add Tamarind water, Chilli powder, Turmeric powder and ground Masala powder. Mix and allow to boil till desired consistency.
Goes well with: white rice.
